At Home Vet provides compassionate veterinary care for dogs and cats in the comfort of their home: better for you, better for your pet!

We treat pets from beginning through end-of-life, so we can help you with everything from making sure your new ball of fluff stays healthy (just the necessary vaccines-not too little and not too much), to keeping your middle-aged pet healthy and strong for as long as possible, as well as helping your beloved older pet pass gently and gracefully.

Please call with questions. We look forward to speaking with you soon.

Dr. Ekstrom and Dr. Sung

History

Established in 2001

Dr. Ekstrom has worked in many different clinics since her graduation from Cornell Vet, and over the years, she built up an idea of how she wanted to practice medicine: by combining compassion with quality medicine, and an understanding for each person’s situation.

One day, when she was working in a clinic, she had a client come in with her two large dogs, two yowling cats, a toddler and an infant. The idea to start At Home Vet  house call practice was born as Dr. Hanna observed the poor woman try to nurse her baby, contain the toddler, and manage the panting, exuberant dogs, all in the confines of a tiny, hot, exam room. There is a better way.!

Veterinary care provided in the comfort of your home is better for you, and better for your pets. It is safer (less exposure to contagion), calmer, and more convenient. It is particularly perfect for large families, pets that vomit or get stressed the car, and for people that have trouble getting out.

Meet the Business Owner: Hanna E.

Dr. Hanna Ekstrom has been practicing veterinary medicine for almost 20 years since her graduation with honors from Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys treating a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, and anything small and furry (rabbits, rats, guinea pigs.

Hanna is passionate about her practice, treating each patient as if it was a pet of her own. She is comfortable working on the floor, under a table, on the lawn, or wherever your pet is happiest and more relaxed. She is also very comfortable explaining things to children and is used to the chaos that accompanies a home filled with two and four-legged family members.

When she is not working as your house call veterinarian, she’s the mother of five children (three biological and two foster), 1 dog, 2 cats, 1 rats and many, many fish. Her husband is a very patient and wonderful man!
